It changes to either all boxes, or (if you have extra languages installed, I'm assuming) Chinese characters. Or maybe they're Japanese Kanji. I'm too lame to tell the difference.

I haven't found any other phrase Notepad does this to. o.O

any explanation for why it does that? how did you find this?

I was on a GameFAQs.com thread debating whether Bush is a president or not. Someone posted a ytmnd, though I don't remember the url; it had the music they tend to use in a "dun dun DUN" fashion accompanied by instructions, and it showed Notepad with a line of boxes suggesting what would happen.

Not sure why it does it. But I think it's hella funny and kinda eerie. :)

Thats really weird. Does everyone get the same thing? Mine was all boxes.

I think it's boxes if you don't have languages installed, and Kanji or something if you do. I got foreign characters.
