So, I had the opportunity to finally see the one Season 3 Doctor Who episode I missed, "The Shakespeare Code."

Wow.

I didn't think it was possible to turn Shakespeare into a Mary Sue.

Wow.

*scratches head* I know the episode, and I know what a Mary Sue is, and I have absolutely no idea what you mean?

Maybe I worded it a bit strongly but the whole thing was like "Shakespeare is so awesome..." lines.

Shakespeare is so awesome he's immune to psychic paper.
Shakespeare is so awesome his sorrow opened a hole in time and space.
Shakespeare is so awesome his improv can close a hole in time and space.
Shakespeare is so awesome he's the first Doctor Who character in history to figure out the Doctor is an alien and his companion is from the future.

The whole episode was asking, "So, just how hard CAN we Hero Worship Shakespeare?"

Charles Dickens didn't get NEARLY that treatment in the previous season.

That was because Charles Dickens wasn't played by Ewan McGregor...heehee

Ah, ok. Hero Worship I'm OK with, which isn't Mary Sue, which is why I was confused. Plus...truth from the commenter above!
