[Clap. Rush of blue light.]

... no. This isn't...

[The distant roar of rain, thunder. Finally, Al pulls the PCD from his soaked pocket. Though his voice is very calm, there is something in his eyes that is... worried. Desperately worried. The rain runs down his face, even underneath the soaked hood of his coat.]I can transmute the water away from ( Read more... )

[Rei looks nervous. Completely and utterly on edge.

Fire and water don't mix. Mars and water in particular do not mix.

But to give the girl credit, she keeps her voice pretty steady.]

Neptune controls the water.

I can ask her.

Please, do it. This isn't the only garden, Rei. And this is the Animus... I don't think this storm will stop.

I can't do anything with my powers.

[She's so frustrated. Between this disaster and the angels, Rei won't be sleeping this week.]

I can ask if Castiel can help, but I don't know how much he can do. And Toushirou -- he can freeze the water. The shinigami can use kidou barriers, too.

[Nobody will.]

Hitsugaya may be able to create walls, barriers and covers for personal gardens. Ms. Unohana can protect the clinic and the gardens there... ask Castiel what he's able to do. If we act fast and spread out accordingly we may be able to save most of the plants.

This event is great.

[Why, yes, he's going to be a little bitch, because fuck it, he hates the rain. But then -- ]

[Katara has kept an eye on Al's post, but hasn't responded -- not because she doesn't want to be helpful, but out of the sheer frustration of helplessness.]

There's not a lot I can do. I can bend the water away from the plants, but if it's going to flood -- the water has to go somewhere.

Exactly. The rivers and lakes are too far away.

Toph and Aang can earthbend. They could probably create -- well, pits for the water, but I doubt they'll last long. Maybe long enough to give you some time.

I've sacrificed what little treeline there is around the perimeter to stave off the garden but it won't hold long.

But I must ask is Kitty there with you or is she still outside?

She's inside. Probably under my bed.

Has there been a rainstorm like this before? I've noticed people talking about reoccurances as of late. Like a beach coming back and other things. If so, how bad is this going to get?

Two years ago, there was a flood. It stormed like this, and it lasted seven days and nights.

It's... going to get bad.

That's all right. I can really use the help.

What's your idea?

I see you have others that can move earth, but the rain may wash that away over the course . I have some affinity for plants--I should be able to create a canopy that will keep most of the rain, and hold the earth in place with it's roots.

Need help with transferring anything? I don't think sandbags will exactly work.

bloodseal_soul June 19 2011, 18:14:55 UTC
Sandbags won't, no. We're potting things and moving them inside -- yes, please.
