What is also interesting is that this series exists in so many worlds. I mean, we come different times, and many of us comes from the Earth that do have that Europe, Asia, America continent set...but those still are different Earths.

Does it means we exists on this alternate Earths too, but our background is different?

On the other hand, there are completely different universes, yet they have one thing that connects them all.

...it's an interesting topic for discussion, I admit.

... and I'm not from that place, where there is Europe and the other places you've mentioned. Back home there is Amestris, Ishbal, Xing, and Drachma. Maybe the differences in worlds means a larger gap, and that's why I've never heard of the Joker?

It could be... but I wonder... exactly how are they connected? I mean, they might be the same up to a certain point, and then diverge into something very different.

[Al laughs softly.] It's what happens when I can't sleep, I guess. My imagination runs away with me.

Very much. Even when there are different Earths, it means that on all of them was a guy who started drawing dark stories about a hero in black saving his city from a crazy criminalist with clown-image. Which means, that even when there are different Earths, on all of them exists the same people, and it goes nicely with what Kamui said...

But it still doesn't explain why fictional character appears here very, very real.
Does it means, that the fact all those alternate guys drawing about bats and jesters made an alternate Earth when that city, and those bat and jester fights real? Or it was always real, and any thing our imagination comes up with, is real somewhere out there?

I still wonder if it has something to do with the gundam phenomena...

My head hurts. Now I can't sleep thanks to it too.

Too many questions

It is heartening, isn't it? The thought that fictional characters might exist. For though it brings us these...Jokers...it also means that the heroes, the best of the tales, they exist, too, don't they?

There is some contact that must always exist, or...or something like this could never happen. Perhaps that is not a bad thing, though. After all, it means that we have the chance of seeing greatness from other worlds, as well, and learning from it.

Alphonse, there may be an infinite number of 'you' out there, on the worlds, doing...who knows what. But here, in your life, you can chose to do whatever you want to do. Dwelling on the mistakes of dopplegangers is foolish, for, after all, in the end, you bear none of the guilt from any actions they take.

Only your own can reflect on you.

In a way, yes, I believe it is. Heroes... I've never read many comic books and stuff like that, even though they're out there... but I've heard the tales.

I've known a true hero... and he may not be what people think of when they try to picture one, he may not have all the pretty words and the grand entrances, and so far he hasn't gotten any girls... and he hasn't saved any world but mine, but at the end of the day, he's a hero.

If I of all people have a story like that, it makes me wonder how many more are out there. It makes me want to know them.

... thank you, Zedd. I think I needed that reassurance.

Well...if you know a real hero, there you go. Maybe someday the rest of us will have the chance to know one, too, right?

Maybe this place will help with that, hm?

I don't think the only heroes are the ones in epic tales. There are everyday people, too, who do things that are heroic.

I think so.
