Array 123 [Video]

Jan 07, 2010 20:48

[Some soft clanking, followed by a gasp.]

No, nononononono-

Broken... stupid pipes, I shouldn't have left them down here, I should have known better...!

Gotta stop the leaks somehow, before I lose the rest.

*affected, clues for the observant, *event: thou shalt not lie, freezing temps = busted pipes

In the basement. It's leaking through the unplugged light switch in the ceiling, onto my filing cabinet.

Is there anything I can do to help? I can carry some of your things upstairs and see if we can get everything dried off.

How much water is down there so far?

I have to deactivate a couple of arrays, but I'd appreciate it, even if you just put them on the stairs.

Enough that I've taken off my boots. [His teeth are already chattering.] Do we have a ladder anywhere around here? I know there's one in the hayloft, but I don't think we can get out there right now, unless Inuyasha wants to make a run outside.

Having problems, I take it. If you want some help, just say so.

Unless you're secretly a plumber, Jiraiya, I don't know if you can help...

Good point. But I know a few water jutsus, can at least clear out some of the mess.

That'd help... do you have any tips for drying off large amounts of paper documents...?

They're leaking?! I knew this would happen...

I think it burst because of the cold, but I can't tell how bad. We might have to take the ceiling apart and get up in there to fix it.

We just don't have any way to keep this house warm.

I'm not sure how much I can do, but I might be able to help somehow? I mean, I'm not a plumber, but I am a mechanic, so maybe...?

Well, we can only do our best in these situations and conditions, Al.

I'll see if I can't find anything we can use to patch the pipes. I don't know how bad they are, the house is pretty old. I don't even know where the water main is.

I get the feeling this won't be the first time this happens.

Any idea how to get a lot of water out of a place?

Other than manual labor, no.

In that case, find a couple of buckets?

Yeah, just this water's much colder than I expected.
