Sasuke.
We both know Itachi won't kill him, and Madara won't either. He's too valuable. He's attacking now out of rage and hurt, for letting himself feel, and for remembering, and when he's beaten, he's going to hate himself even more.
... he's going to need time to heal in more ways than one.

No, I don't know if I'm doing the right thing letting him go, but when he first arrived I seriously underestimated how important this was to him.
Killing Itachi has been his life. Itachi himself needs to bring him around and at this age and in this mindset it might well be impossible.
Sasuke is not entirely sane, Ms. Unohana. He's been driven to do some truly horrible things to himself to get to this goal. I met him after he'd given up absolutely everything. There are things he's done that I can't confess, by code of honor, to anyone at all.
Anyone he sees as in his way will automatically become an enemy, and he needs every friend he can get right now. If we try to hold him back with logic, he'll just crack right down the middle.
He's not ready for the truth.
There's no 'right' way to do this, Ms. Unohana. Just ways that are less damaging.
