Excruciating...

Sep 14, 2008 04:07

I'm writing in this thing at such an hour in the morning because I'm taking a break from editing my new DBSK oneshot, the first in several months.  Actually, I wrote a rough sketch of "Crucifix" back in March and then got overwhelmed by all the work I had for my classes spring quarter and kind of disappeared from the DBSK fandom, probably without ( Read more... )

details are essential in making the right atmosphere.. but it's hard to tell whether your overdoing it, eh?

well, I've always wanted to experiment with different writing styles and I generally have, but I know that some basic things don't really change. It's usually detailed and descriptive, regardless of what fandom I'm in and whether I'm doing a 30 chapter action-adventure, a brief character piece, or a first person suspense story. My writing is pretty much always called the "beautiful" and "thoughtful" stuff - for over six years now! - so I'm not so sure I want to do more of the same. At the same time, the comments are praise and some of my readers are totally like, 'why the heck aren't you more confident after you've gotten ___ reviews and ___ people chose you as a favorite author, etc. etc.'

I guess after a certain point, when you've written a lot, you just start wondering about things and end up being dissatisfied with your own work ^^'

oh yeah. and the JaeHo fandom is freaking scary...

aww, thanks! loL, I wasn't expecting anyone to read my long-winded rant at all. I probably think wayy too much about writing. I should just write and leave the rest to other people, heh :D

yes you have been away for very long... but if there are new fics of cos i would read it... hehe...

the stuff you write are very in depth and sometimes i may have to read a few times to get the idea (cos im not a deep person :p)

but that's ok... cos every writer writes differently and what matters is that you enjoyed writing it :)

waiting for this fic~~~

Hahah...I'm thinking of writing some less in depth stuff and more generally "fun" stuff! We'll see. I get tired of writing thoughtful stuff too, but it just happens that so far the JaeHo things I've written are like that. I'm so amazed that you guys are still around after so long! I've had other readers be loyal for like, five or six years :O, but that's for other fandoms and I didn't think my JaeHo stuff made such an impression =D!!
