Im sad. i didn't make the play!!!! wah!!!! but i do have a tech job. i'm a set artist for both plays and i'm the props mistress for pink panther. i really wish i would have gotten a part! oh well, it will cut into my fanfiction writing less since i don't have to go to every practice. and i get to build the doomsday device for pink panther ( Read more... )

Hey, I'm one of those mad fangirl-ish people that will go to the LJs of every fanfic author they like. I'm quite fond of The Damned and the Lonely so when I saw the update today I also saw the link to your LJ in your profile. And that was possibly the world's most horribly constructed sentence ( ... )

eh, i don't mind nitpicking, though i do have my soft spot for people fawning over me...to a certain extent. You know what? i beta for other people and can always pick up on mistakes and such, but for my own writing i always miss it. but, this is only a first draft type thing. i plan to go back through and edit all my chapters and remove authors notes as well. i'll probably be doing that sometime soon.

yes, i know my characters are ooc. Severus hasn't warmed to Harry really, you'll see this in future chapters, he just tolerates him and doesn't want any student being killed.

i cut actually, but it's been a while. i promised one of my friends i would stop.

sure i'll friend you, and i think i'll take you up on that beta offer. it's always nice to have a second opinion, though i'll probably ignore some of the advice.

Fawnings, good, but not when people absolutely refuse to criticize anything, which is what all my friends are doing on my original story. I'll miss a lot of things in my writing, but I'm so obsessive over it that I automatically make one of my friends beta-read it.

OOC-ness is fine, it can just turn off some of the purists. It's not so much an issue any more, this far into any story most Dracos become OOC.

I'm trying to stop, largely because we're going on vacation and I'll be forced to go swimming, so I wouldn't be able to hide it.

Any advice should be taken with a grain of salt. I threw out half of what my old beta suggested for one of my stories, because it would have messed up the story line.
