Target #3 - Taking in the view.

[For any of his neighbors or anyone walking down the street:

Sniper is just sitting up on his roof. He has a small stick from the back yard in his hand. He is humming to himself.

Now and then he holds the stick out and looks down its length. Mostly he is looking up and down the street.

[He'd watch her pass and wince at the heel snapping. Then she stared, and though it was a tad unnerving he waved.

With one shoe she'd be an easy target. Not able to move fast enough to be a real moving target. Compensate for the lopsided gait and fire. Out in the open, one shot would do it.

His friendly smile never betrayed his thoughts.]

'Ello Lisa. Not 'aving a good start to the day I see. 'Eading to work or is there a party I'm missing?

Ah, not my kind of scene sadly. Besides I don't think your friends 'ave the pills I need.

[He kept the friendly smile though now he was a tad concerened.]

[Scout returns from work early - after the brainwashing incident he can barely stand to be there, with all those drones. They make him angry just looking at them. All he pretty much went in for that day was to get what Sniper asked of him - a bow and some arrows. And Scout picks them up on a five-finger discount!]

[He yells up to you on the roof.] Scopin' out the neighborhood already? Good thing, cuz I gotcha a present! [He holds up the box and shakes it, grinning.] Hold on, I'll come up!

[Instead of the usual deftness you'd expect from Scout, he struggles a bit to get up on the roof with Sniper. No crazy jumps or anything like that. He'll hand you the box once he makes it up there.]

[Sniper looks very happy to see Scout. Waving to him as he comes up. Meeting Scout when he finally reaches the roof to take the box, first taking out the bow, making sure it was strung right and pulling back to get a feel for it.]

Saw you 'aving trouble getting up 'ere. I never thought they could take away your ability to jump.

I 'ave to admit I think they took an "ability" away from me as well mate.

[Now the Sniper was using the bow to sight up and down the street. This could work; at least it was a great start.]

Hey, no problem! We may not have guns, but we can make do. [The handle of a bat sticks out from the bag on his back. After the incident with Grady, he refuses to leave it behind again.]

[The grin fades, and he frowns.] Uh, yeah. I can't run like I used to, either. Assholes take away everything. I hear if ya play nice, they'll give stuff back, which means I'll probably be stuck like this. [A short, bitter laugh.] Wait, so what did they take from you?

[Notices his bat, seems a bit reassured by that. Lowers the bow.]

Sorry to 'ear mate. We'll get it all back, and then we'll make them regret messing with us.

They took away my ability to make Jarate. Not nearly as bad as yours mind you but a tad disturbing in its own right.

[You are suddenly aware of a shift in the wind, a presence behind you. Which is very strange, beacuse there was absolutely no tell of its approach.]

[Lowers his stick and glances over his shoulder.]

'Ello, nice to meet you. Yes, you can climb up onto my roof and 'ang out for a bit. I'm Sniper, contracted by BLU.

Yeah, see, there's already a BLU in this town, and I'm leadin it.

Now, you seem like a halfway decent decimal, so we can be gentlemen about this. Our goal's zetta simple. Retrieve the information about this town, and iterate anyone foolish enough to try and stop us.

Are you in, or out?

[A smile and a shake of his head.]

Sorry mate. I don't remember working out my contract with you.

If you want to 'ire me that's fine, until then I'm off the clock until I find a way out of 'ere.

If I find something I'll pass it along, I figure the more of us trying the better. But I don't simply take orders from someone I never met before.

[Howdy, neighbor!

Nadia is out on a walk and you catch her eye, up on your roof and all.

She has a slight moment of panic -- oh god oh god don't fall -- before smiling and waving.]

[Sniper waves, lowering his stick. He calls out to her.]

'Ello, nice to meet you. You live nearby?

[Happily points to 1250 Williams.]

By the way, if there is a bit of a comotion over 'ere a few days from now you might want to stay indoors or 'ead a few streets over.

[Sniper would lower his stick for now and wave to her offering a friendly smile. He seemed to be watching too, but doing so from the roof for now. He seemed to be enjoying himself at least.]
