what about the Islamic Faith.... thats more old testament related than Christianity.

I can't really help you, but I have lots of jewish friends so if you needed the "dish" I could ask them. And I like how you mentioned church seeming like the Borg Collective. Everytime I go, thats how I think of it, and then the zoning out begins...

I can't help you very much, seeing as I'm agnostic. But...

I'd definitely think about it. This would be a big change, but if you're serious about it...by all means, go for it.

How about, you believe in God. You don't need to have a denomination to have beliefs and faith.

Yes...but you don't need to believe Christian ideals either.

You could be nonreligious and believe in God. You could also be nonreligious and believe in Buddah, or Allah, or a all-powerful beanbag chair.

Buddah, Allah, and an all-powerful beanbag chair are still all Gods, just different names for them. Plus, she said she believed in God, and this comment is directed at her, so I was being specific to the situation. Of course anyone can believe and/or worhsip anything or anyone they want, its in the first amendment. Hail the Bean-Bag Chair!!! heh.
