You know, I've never understood the lyric "if you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends." If anyone could point out why a girl would want her potential love interest to get with all her friends first, please let me know. Maybe she doesn't like him and is trying to confuse him, so that when he does what she asked she can flip out at him.

b) The line is saying 'hey, if you wanna go out with me, I wanna see if you get along with my friends because they're important to me'?
