I'm curious. Why is a man in a dress funny but a woman cross dressed isn't?
Is it because women adopting male roles is a sign of Radical Female Liberation (apparently) or feminism gone sideways (the only way to be equal to blokes is to do exactly what they do better)?
Is it because more people find women in, say, a suit, to be a turn-on than, say, a bloke in a skirt?
Is it because you can possibly argue that the idea of female cross-dressing is harder to define, since women are 'allowed' waistcoats/trousers/stompy boots (sure, there's masculine style, but I don't think there's anything specifically designated as Men's Clothes apart from morning and evening dress...)
Or is it something else?
And am I distracted by thoughts of women in tuxedos now?
