I'll work hard. I'll prove myself. You can say it doesn't matter what I did or didn't do back home since I'm not there now, but to me, it does matter. It's really important.
[...] It's called - the "Branch of Sin." I don't know how it works. I can control my blood like a weapon. If I'm bleeding, I can shoot my blood like it was a bullet or something. Senji-san called in the "Ganta Gun" Which is still pretty stupid. But I won't use it here. And I guess I can't, either.
I didn't say it doesn't matter, but it's not the only thing that does, either. You can't erase the past, but you can't change it. Basically, unless you're planning a mass killing spree or something like that, I think you should be fine.
Branch of sin... Sounds interesting. But you're right, can't use it here.
So it's in ruins... No wonder you sounded so shocked before.
What is that collar like? Can it be removed without putting your life in danger any further? ...Though even if you do die in this city, it will not last.
...There was an earthquake ten years ago. Seventy percent of the Tokyo area just sank. [...]
The collar... it's some hard plastic, I think? I know it has the poison in it, and I know the guards can use them to track us, but I don't know. What if there's a bomb or something? I wouldn't be surprised... I mean, or else people would be trying to take theirs off all the time, right? I--
If your story can be believed, then one of the doctors here might try to save your life. But understand, Ganta... This city is probably no better off than yours, if it isn't worse as it is. It would be hard to pull of a miracle to save your life.
That's - I'm being honest. I mean, I know, no one's gonna want to help me, but I thought, I have to try, and if I said everything out like this, then at least no one can get mad at me for keeping secrets.
A lot of people here have weird powers, so don't think you're the only one.
The rest of the stuff--well, you could've just taken the easy way out by not saying anything. So I guess I believe you. ...Think someone strong enough would be able to snap that collar off? Not a regular person, someone with superhuman strength.
[...] I just... figured if I was honest like this... then at least, no one could later on find out and - I mean, it's more... trustworthy... even if people don't believe me, at least they might think I'm honest.
[...] I just... what if there's a bomb or something it it, you know?
...It actually sounds kind of devious when you explain it like that.
There might not be. Either way, you are going to die if it stays on, right? Not saying you should be reckless--if someone's got a better idea for taking it off, listen to them, not me--but worst comes to worst, it'd be better to die once and have the thing gone than die and have the scientists bring you back to life and still have it on.
Although--I don't know...I wonder if the scientists could remove it for you...if they can, I wonder why they didn't in the first place.
...Does it sound devious? Oh. I guess it kinda does, actually...
[...] I don't know. Why bring me here at all if I'm just going to die in a week or two. It doesn't make sense. Everyone keeps saying death doesn't stick, but...

[...] A bunch of people in the prison had the ability. They made us fight with it. But I don't really know... I haven't had it for long.

In any case, a collar that injects poison into you doesn't sound like it's any good! You should get that thing off-- maybe Dr. Octavius can help you.

We'll try to do what's possible.
