[Rachel was on the second level, wearing normal clothes for once. She looked, as she tended to do, like she was right out of a fashion magazine.]

Thank god I can see again. That was rather unpleasant. Does this place do that often? Or whatever causes that.. because if I find out it's a whoNever mind. What kind of place is this, anyway ( Read more... )

Yeah. I can't really explain it beyond that, and I would never get a tattoo if I was still home.

I don't know how it even got there..

No, not really. I think even Jake would flip out a little bit. [Small smile.]

...How can a city go around and mark people? That seems.. strange. And considering the amount of 'normalcy' we've encountered, that's pretty bad.

Oh, you're the tree--- [facepalms] Oh, duh, that's what it must've been! Blindness.

Yeah, this happens often. Though it usually isn't blindness or deafness or things like that.

Marks...yeah, some people receive marks when they get here. Accordin' to someone I know, there's one on my back that I sure as hell didn't have when I was back home, for example.

...Yeah, I couldn't see for a few days. It's really frustrating, especially when you have no idea where you are when you can see.

Other stuff happens here? Like, worse stuff? This place is insane.

Do the marks.. do anything? I guess that's an odd question, but.. what do they mean? I mean, if I ever got a tattoo, I would have never picked the one I have... nor the location..

Try being deaf. [sigh] That's - why things fell through when you tried to talk to me earlier. Sorry about that.

You get used to it after a while. Well, not really, but you learn to live with it. Although that does sound like an insane thing to do.

I'm not sure what the marks do, if anything. It seems people receive them on arrival or after certain things occur. I didn't have a mark at first but then, somehow, it happened. Though, according to someone I talked to, the kind of mark and what happened to each person might be related.
