Forgetting Sarah Marshall

The hub took me to see Forgetting Sarah Marshall last night.  For some reason I was expecting more out of this movie than I actually got.  I was expecting it to be funnier than what it was.  I wanted it to live up to the hype that was created for it.

*GASP* These words you write... I don't understand! LOL. No, I guess I could see how some people wouldn't fall in love with Forgetting Sarah Marshall as much as I did... but I love that movie!

Paul Rudd, Russell Brand, and the newlywed guy were my absolute favorites! And I loved when Kristen Bell did the "Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit!" bit. That was very funny.

And I still laugh at "You sound like you're from London!"

Paul Rudd was absolutely hilarious in that movie. I will say that. He stole just about every scene he was in. He's wonderful when it comes to comedy. And the "Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit!" part was very funny, as was the whole dinner and outsexing each other bit.

However, I was expecting MORE. I was expecting something along the lines of Superbad, which had me laughing at practically every scene. I think I was probably expecting too much. I did laugh a lot, but I thought I would laugh even more than what I did. If I'd went into the movie without expectations, I think I would have liked it a lot more than I did.

Yeah, I went in there knowing practically nothing about the movie. I only knew Kristen Bell was in it and she was Jason Segal's ex-girlfriend. I'm sure if I went in there expecting Superbad I would have been a little disappointed too!

I hated the whole vampire musical thing though. That stuff annoyed me.

Really? I thought the vampire musical at the end was pretty funny. It was so off-beat and weird that it was funny.
