[So if anyone was paying attention during the experiment, they would have noticed a mostly unfamiliar man strolling around the main portion of the village, looking entirely too composed for the body-switching. That probably wouldn't have been out of the ordinary, except said man spent a large amount of time in the clothing stores and took "home"

[Seeing an eagle take on the form of a young girl certainly grabs his attention. It's actually a strong reminder of a couple of his friends from back home.

He approaches her from behind.] Yo! [...] You were taught shape-shifting?

[And he gets a sidelong glance from Rachel, who'd been assuming after some of the things she's seen and heard here that becoming animals wasn't such a big deal.]

Not taught, really, but I can change. Why?

[Oh, it's that guy again. He was actually pretty decent... and she never got his name either. Uhhhh... yeah, that's probably not good. But it's true that of the people's she's met, he's probably at or near the top of her list of being all right.]

I can turn into a lot of things. [Have that grin, Lloyd. It's a little nutso but also pretty self-mocking.] If I can get my hands on it and get its DNA, I can be it.

[She looks kind of confused that he's asking.]

You know, the building blocks of life and all that? Genetic code? The thing that decides whether we have red hair or blue eyes or whatever? I could be you if I wanted to.

[She has ethics about this, so she won't acquire him, not without a damn good reason and not without permission. But she could.]

[He's most likely referring to the fact that she's barefoot.]

[And hello mystery person. She throws a glance at Squall, then shrugs.]

Always has been. Can't do anything about it, though.

[Not unless she wants to stash spare shoes everywhere around the village... which isn't such a bad idea, actually, she might do at least one or two pairs.]

[He's back to being himself, so she won't need to worry about Seifer-antics, luckily.]

The spell doesn't let you?

[No, you're the one who she doesn't want to beat to a pulp. Though Seifer couldn't have told who she was during the bodyswap.]

It's not a spell, but no, it doesn't. Shoes aren't organic and are too damn complicated to integrate, we can barely manage any decent clothing as it is. [canon: laaaate in the series they learn to morph real clothing, not just spandex, but it takes a damn long while. So she's actually wearing a shirt and a pair of shorts, even with the barefoot.]

[THERE she is. Shadow heads toward her as she transforms back.]

[Honestly Shadow, if anyone should know better, it's you. Rachel does not react well to people suddenly appearing, and she does much as you would do: spin suddenly, expecting an attack and preparing to fight.]

[Oh, but it's him. Not like she wasn't expecting this, and she straightens up with a severely mocking girly-salute as she turns to continue to All Passions.]

[He could have dealt with her if he'd had to... but he's got no plans to start a fight. Just to figure out... Why. He stares at her accusingly.]

I don't have use for the clothes.

Oh come on now. You have to have a use for not looking like you stepped out of a barrel of dust at some point, you know. Besides, I was bored.
