I don't usually like old tv shows, but I love Family Ties. As much as I love Michael J. Fox, I think the real reason is Michael Gross. I just think he is hilarious

I'll forever be an Alex P. Keaton girl (Hello...Michael J. Fox!?!) but Michael Gross was indeed brilliant. One of my all time favourite tv dads.

It's so funny you mention Family ties: Lily and I have been watching season after season on DVD for weeks now. Michael Gross is kind of the ideal TV dad (naturally we love his liberal, hippie nature!) and even though she won't admit it, Lily has a HUGE crush on Alex. Shhhh! ;D I could sit and watch '80s sitcoms all day long. :D

I hate to admit that I crush on Alex. I don't agree with anything the character says or does, but he's so charming.
