My grandmother is the same way about me being alone. Even though I'm an adult and perfectly capable of taking care of myself she always calls when we have a hurricane or tropical storm to ask me if I need to come over to spend the night. It's gotten to the point where I just call her instead to let her know I have plenty of flashlights and water just in case. It's nice to have family that cares, isn't it?
