Momoko was nibbling a rather large piece of fudge while loading up a small plate with the cake and cookies. And more fudge.

Look. Jaime didn't make fudge, Momoko didn't know how, and store-bought fudge tasted so, well, weird and grainy and flat! Ew.

"Hmm. Champagne..." Momoko considered her history with alcohol and New Gotham. "Or make the trip home again without punching people?"

"The fun would be in remembering a party as a whole, for once, and not need reminders in bits and pieces to the tune of Ms Barbara's latest favourite song," Momoko snorted and returned Dinah's hug. "Though we do need to do another barcrawl soon. For fun, though, this time."

"Well then I'll just drink anything past one glass that you take," Dinah offered whimsically, squeezing her tight. "But hey, I like that idea, we should do that this month." She picked up one of the pieces of white fudge and bit into it, looking complacent. "We might even have to bring Priestly and Jaime." That would be hilarious.

"I don't know about Priestly, but Jaime would drink a few beers and then be done. And he'd collect so much blackmail material..."

"Hmmm." Pointy point there. "The disadvantages of you dating a nice Catholic boy... still, if I bring my new squeeze along, maybe he can talk Jaime into some shenanigans."

"He claims to actually like the taste of that beer, can you believe it? Ugh." Momoko shivered, remembering the time she'd tried it.

"And, no you do not!" She shook a finger at Dinah. "Do not even think you can slide that past me. New squeeze? Who is he and why haven't you told me about him before and it totally better not be the same guy that Old!Dinah is seeing, because he's a total jerk."

"Oliver Queen? Ugh, no. No, no, and no. He might be some Laurie Queen's dad, but I will not ever be that mom." Dinah snickered, because Momoko's runaway sentences were hilarious. "Well, I wanted a little time to get to know him better. You know how it is. We're really good buddies with benefits right now. Great benefits. For great justice!"

"Good. And no, you are supposed to tell me about all the guys you like," Momoko chastised. "Totally a BFF rule. I will have to start pumping Priestly for information as soon as your back is turned, now."

"So tell! Are you just friends, like with Leo or is this actually a real boyfriend? Is he a meta?"

Your phrasing, Momoko. Ahahahah oh wow, wait while Dinah gets her breath back from choking on champagne.

"...(hic) .. okay! Uh, not a meta, but he's done superhero things. Although he's on break from it full-time right now, 'cause he's a student." She grinned. "Define real boyfriend, and I'll be able to tell you."

"A student? He's not from Fandom, is he? That's awfully young, Dinah." Momoko made a face at her.

"He's an older student," Dinah said with a wicked grin. "What do you take me for, some kind of cougar?... actually, he's about five months older than I am." She hummed and added, "He was at Barbara's wedding, and, you know, no one was paying attention, and ... stuff happened." Ahem.

"It's not Tim or Jason, is it?!" Momoko gasped, trying to remember the guys they had ogled talked about at the reception. "That's your brother!" Sorta...

"In-law! Step. Foster. Something!" Dinah protested, shaking her head. "No, let's see, he's over... there... nope... there... nope..."

She was looking around for Priestly, so she could yell his name out to him.

"He's here?" Momoko meeped and looked around as well. "Dinah! You totally should have said! What if I'd done something stupid? Quick, tell me what he's like... I already know sweet and kind of adorable, but what else?"

"Hilarious sense of humor, very cute, and how did you know he was sweet and adorable already?" Dinah wondered out loud. "Priestly!" she called.

He turned around, and she waved to him. Grinning, he waved back.

"There he is!"

Whether Momoko would realize what Dinah was implying was still up in the air.

"Because that's your type! Even if they seem kind of dangerous at first, when you get to know them they end up being sweet and nice and kind of gentle." Momoko waved a hand at Priestly, even as she was leaning and trying to look around him for the new boyfriend.
