"Yeeeah. I mean, Bridget's nice, I've met her before, but I think she has a boyfriend, and Kory's cool but weird... Anyway. Margot & Aliki are sweet, they patched Dick up when he fell off a building once." She looked meditative. "And kind of kept him for a while. He has the weirdest luck." Dinah finished off her glass of champagne. "Dick's Roy is around here somewhere."

Which was always a little weird, speaking of, because he tried to flirt with her, and she was used to thinking of him as her little brother.

Dinah cackled, then managed to get her giggles under control. "Noooo. They were all too heart-broken to show up. They were sad she wasn't on the market any more." She poked at him. "There are nice cops here, though. If I wanna date a cop."

Momoko was humming dreamily to the music as she watched people dance and enjoy themselves. She'd had both an extra helping of cake and two flutes of champagne, but was feeling mostly very very high on love. Speaking of... she looked over at Jaime, not even trying to temper whatever was showing on her face. Babies and children yesterday, a wedding today... Momoko was a jumble of feelings.

Momoko beamed at her. "IT WAS SO ROMANTIC!!!!"

She reached up and dragged her BFF into a chair at their table. "They were so... so...!!!!!!!!"

That was the only wy she could express it, sorry. "Did you see how she hesitated a moment when their eyes met as she started her walk? I swear we all totally disappeared then and it was just the two of them!"

Momoko took a moment to (try to) think. "I don't think there is a word for it. It just is."

"They really do look just so right. Like they've been together for years already and this is more of a second wedding or anniversary party."

"Which they have, kinda? Off and on? And they've been through a lot and they were long-distance and then they were with other people and then they were together and now it is their anniversary!" Dinah was still grinning wide enough to hurt. "I bet there's a word for it in French." There were lots of French words for Dick and Barbara, she was sure of it. Then she started giggling. "Just like there's a word in French for all you girls fighting over the bouquet."

"Dee deet deet," Dinah sang. "Don't know what you're talking about!" And she hadn't known Lian was under the table, so that part was definitely not her fault!
