There better be a good answer because Momoko was calling to see how Dinah liked the two gifts she'd sent.

"Semmmmpai!" Momoko wailed. "You were going to eat them aaaaaaall?"

She was only half serious, Dinah. Don't worry.

"They're my birthday chocolates," Dinah insisted, half-laughing. "And one of them has rum & coke in it and another one has pepper vodka and they are so gooooooooood.... I'll save you a cupcake too?"

"I can get Jaime to make me cupcakes," Momoko grumped, glad that Dinah was taking the bait of being teased about the gift from Priestly. "But he still can't make chocolate. He brought me store-bought ones for Valentine's!"

"Ah!" Dinah snickered her outrage and said, "Well, these aren't hand-made either, just really good. And... I'm glad he sent me stuff, you know?" MINE!

"You're still coming to my graduation May 10, right? Or at least the party? I'm not sure how many tickets I'll have for the ceremony, and my family kind of sucks up a lot of seats."

Can you hear the eyeroll, there, Dinah?

"Of course I'm coming! And I'm totally willing to crash the graduation! I'm sure there's someone there who I can pretend to be related to. Or maybe I'll just wear that elf costume again." That would open a few doors, right?

Dinah hooted with laughter. "I'm sure all the engineering students you flirted with three years ago would be thrilled to help you out with that!"

"Wow. That was really that long ago." Momoko let her head fall back and kicked her feet as she relived that memory. and giggled. "It seems like just yesterday you were graduating Fandom and I was totally sure you would forget me."

"Awwwww." Dinah's voice softened. "Seriously, kohii? Could you be more wrong?"

The world really needed to work out that hug-by-phone thing soon.

"I wasn't going to let you go easily!" Momoko pouted. "But it was totally reasonable! You were going to COLLEGE in a different WORLD. Why would you want to keep hanging out with a high school otaku!"

"Um, because I was a high school otaku-from-America who dorked at King Arthur until he agreed to teach her swords so she'd shut up?" More or less. "You silly. Anyway... so you have to celebrate the 4-year-anniversary of how *that* didn't go next month, yay."

Momoko laughed. "Was that how you got him to teach you?"

"And I will totally be there. Not even an Oracle assignment will keep me away!"
