So I sent out some "last ditch effort" resumes with the essay I posted a few days ago. Here's hoping something comes of it. The finances are bad. I was keeping up. I had set up a budget for what I needed to pay what and where it was coming from every week. Then I missed a payment to the electric company to pay the rent on time. They took me ( Read more... )

go Logan for the potty training!! Good luck with the resumes; if you want me to look at yours send it on over - I've revamped over 20 for friends in the past six months; and quite a few have managed to get work (not say it was due in part to my resume skills, just in general). I've totally been in the Peter to Paul scenario. *hugs*

The same thing happened with us. We were almost caught up after Jim was laid off for 6 months then both our vehicles broke down the same week. $700 and that was a deal cause the guy was doing us a favor and not charging labor. That money had to come from 3 different bills. THen I juggled to pay those 3 with the money for other bills and here we are. Basically a month behind, nearly $2000. It just doesn't end ( ... )

I am fortunate that I've been getting at least something every week. Dave has had Andrew most of the summer really, more than half the time. I kept waiting for him to tell me he couldn't pay the support but so far there was only one week where he said he didn't have the full amount. Roger has been working (praise God, LOL) but his check is short EVERY week. It's supposed to be 140 and last week it was like 83. Some weeks it is 120, which is what I pay the sitter. I don't want Logan to grow up but can't I send him to kindergarten now? LOL. I will try to post more.
