If the police allegations are false then this is an attack on the entire gay community of metro Memphis. And if that's so, then gay people need to fight back, even if the owner of this bar isn't a paragon of virtue. In Fort Worth and Dallas the bars and patrons fought back, and the policing agency not only backed down, but fired the cops that fucked up.

This club owner is notorious for bending the rules. One example is selling alcohol after 3am and claiming that if they can do it on Beale Street, he should be able to do it 5 miles away. I was at home at a house party with my neighbors when the raid went down. If they wanted to discriminate against the gays, there are 4 gay bars that are too broke down to afford a attorney on retainer.

Most gays in Memphis typically do not have money. By midnight, they have gotten drunk and found their trick for the night and are back home or someones home by 1AM. This bar is frequented by straight college kids from the two private universities nearby. Easy alcohol.
