It's spring now, and that means that I can say that I succeeded in riding my bike through all of winter for the first time. Yay me!

This was greatly aided by primarily three factors that I can think of:

Wind scares me, too. We don't have a ton of snow and ice around here, but, we have significant wind a few times a year.

Hrm, I suspect you have more than we do. I've certainly had rides where I've struggled to keep from getting blown off the road, but those are generally only rare gusts, so I find it much more funny than scary. Not having close/fast car traffic probably also helps with that a lot, too.

I really dislike riding in rain, although I have the gear to do it if I need to. I'm more likely to beg a WFH day for pouring rain than for snow or cold, though.

Yay! Awe! I was proud of myself for riding the mile from metro in the dark tonight with my bright reflective vest. But it's warming now

Heh, I'd be terrified of riding a mile in the dark on a road with only reflective clothing and no bright obnoxious lights. I guess we all have our challenges. :)

I actually stayed on the sidewalk. Was a straight shot down Columbia Road for 5 min I think gmaps said. If I'd biked home I would have added the extra lights Eva gave me.
