After the trip to MN last week, we drove back to Pittsburgh, unpacked the car, collected a few kids, did laundry, borrowed and packed the car, and left for camping in the mountains of NY.
Quite true. I definitely differentiate between "understand basic rules enough to draw cards" "understand how to play enough to start developing strategy" and "understand strategy enough to start thinking about winning." Before this, I was at the first and felt totally lost. Now I think I'm just about at the second, and would enjoy playing again.
Now I'm glad I didn't take you up on learning to drive stick on your car this summer. I would have firmly believed that the current car fail was somehow my fault.

I thought I'd learned how to play, but I have a hard time getting it to actually work, so that probably isn't actually true.
