The awesome thing I did this past weekend: I went to the Ohio Renaissance Festival and braided hair.

It can feel strange when idols become peers.

But for me, working alongside other professionals is one of the best things about bootblacking. I get to learn from them, share tips and tricks, and occasionally (rarely) I teach them something they didn't already know.

Congratulations on holding your own in the company of the best.
