Back from Boston! The weekend was full of awesome things for me. And I have pictures to prove it!

My braids held up beautifully both years I wore them to the playa! One time, when you braided juuuust before I left, I wore them for almost a month afterwards.

I've never ridden a tandem, but it sure looks like fun.

Did you get to try riding Captain? I had to do a couple of 10-20 mile shakeout rides, a ride to Provincetown, and a double marathon through the mountains of Vermont as stoker before I got to try my hand at that. Suddenly, you're leading the waltz and it's a quite different experience-also fun!

Nah, there wasn't really opportunity for me to do any experimentation (not to mention the size and experience skew really favored this position), but I'm pretty, uh, stoked at what we did do. I certainly wouldn't object to trying captaining for the experience and knowledge, but my guess is that nav is going to be my preferred seat. I'm not a big fan of leading dances, either! :)

Sorry I missed seeing you last weekend, but glad yours was fun, too.
