if they aren't treated- if you buy them whole, you've gotta soak them. otherwise, if you're lazy, like me, you get them steamed/rolled & crushed. this batch i've got haven't broken open like normal because they are smaller seeds than normal.
lupins are quite good, but no, i wouldn't feed them whole & untreated.
yep, exactly, you usually put a droperful in their water, or with cats / dogs you can put it on their paws / nose where they will lick it off.
My herbalism teacher often recommends that the owner take the same flower essences as the animal...which makes sense to me, especially in light of some of the stuff they talk about in Tao of Equus...
oh p.s. I think it would be good if you could see Blitz more / if he was closer to you. I know that after having Sage only 3 years, even when he reaches retirement I want him close by....because its about sooo much more than riding. Besides, he's my mental health boost...and I suspect I'm his...he gets depressed if I'm gone for a week...and so do I actually...

for essential oils, you massage onto the horse, or provide an inhalant or put on a cold compress.
herbs can just be added to feed.
