Haha, played ponies. :) Cuuuute! I want to teach Theo to drive, but I have a feeling he'll be a little slower than Miss Sass there! Looks like wicked fun tho!
Is driving really scary? Too much lack of control/communication versus riding? I always thought it looked like it'd be fun with a mini, not sure about bigger horses!
i found it scary mostly cos of the cart - there was nothing under your feet. pony was fine, but i had terrible balance & we went over a bump (at a walk mind you) and i kind of fell forward so i was standing on the ground & pony was walking forward. my imagination ran away with me a bit there, with the potential for injury.
jaana was much more confident & adept at handling her - i think it's something you grow used to. my dad used to train trotters & had this very solid, home made sulky that he used. i never had a problem in that. plus i "harness broke" my pony mare (ie: harnessed her up & shoved her in and she tolerated it, what a good girl) and used to go all over the property. it was hell fun.
Ahh looks great!! I've only ever driven the heavies, which is fun, but I prefer riding because I feel much more in control ... but I think driving a nippy little pony around would be pretty damn cool. :D Also, cute pony is CUTE. <3 Any more photos?
