That more set-back stirrup rigging looks like it puts your leg in a better place, but it would need a bit of getting used to as a rider. That would be good for you, though, as you are more inclined to tip forward than back- just think Lord Flashheart while you ride.

It does look a little short to me though- seems like most of your weight would be coming down through the back of the saddle there rather than being evenly balanced along the tree.

Yah, I am...not liking the fit of this saddle with your conformation very much at all, I'm afraid.

haha, nice tactful way of putting it.
i agree with you, it looks funky here. i am much happier with how it went in our lesson today tho. there is a LOT going on with it tho, which may take some getting used to.

yeah you're right. having a big back end, i'm very conscious of that. but the saddle fitter was pretty adamant about not going up a size? idk.

Looks as if you are perched atop the saddle rather than sitting in it.
What did Lou say about the Innova and how you sat in it?

she loves it. she raved about it, actually. it was the first bates saddle she recommended for him. she talked about open hip angle & sitting straighter etc and so on.

If I was spending 3K on a saddle, it would have to be better than pretty good, AND make me breakfast in the morning, lol! But I read your other post too and it sounds like you are happier with it the second time around, or at least Beej is happy!

Hahah, I didn't even notice that Kelly wasn't wearing pants, and then it was even funnier when I realized she was wearing shorts you couldn't see. :p

that's cos her legs are so white, they look like white joddies!

and yeah, the priority is beejay. i can work on me! i want him to be the best he can be & then we can go from there. consistent & good lessons help, so *i* am always a work in progress.

He does look happy, but I want you to be happy too! I don't know, if it's not also putting you in a basic correct position from the start and you have to work just to stay upright, even if that's something you usually deal with, maybe it's not "the one"... again, especially for 3K. Hopefully you can try some others too before the 24th and decision-time?

Oh, and while I'm here, did you decide yay/nay on a calendar? I need to put the order in tomorrow, so I need totals! :) It's OK if you pay later -- I just need to know one way or the other so I order enough. :)
