took tazzie out for a Good Friday ride with two other women yesterday. one was on this very tall and attractive anglo arab (who happens to be for sale) and the other was on a very short and adorable pony (who also happens to be for sale), both owned by one of the women ( Read more... )

no, it's one kanga & it hangs around in the paddock next door. obviously, horses with their super sonic senses can detect it from a mile off.

i'll try and snap a pic if i see it hanging around during the daytime.

ohhh i would love that! you're so lucky :D i'm always badgering sam for stories about kangaroos! he said they had so many on his ranch they used to hire the aborigines to shoot them O_o

The OTTB that I bought (I can't remember if Beej is off the track?) and re-trained needed the forward working immediately, too. Basically, I'd walk him to the ring, walk him around once or twice before I got on him, and then once I got on we'd have to work straight into canter stuff or he'd lose his mind completely. If I had him work at the canter first for 15 minutes (sometimes longer), he worked much better at the trot and walk.

Sounds like you had a great ride.

Still want to come up with me on Monday to Watkins? D couldn't get into Hank the truck - its just to high up.

I will be leaving around 9 i think

sure. i can meet you at the horse. hank is pretty tall too. i find it difficult myself, lol.
