I don't know if it's any consolation but it IS painless. It's the exact same stuff vets use to knock your pet out to operate on them, just a massive overdose. All that happens is they go to sleep.. and their heart stops. It's a very peaceful, painless way to go. Unfort it doesn't work well on horses as they will fight going down. I'm so sorry, I'm glad she has you there as a good friend.
