Random Thoughts on My Birthday

I am 36 today…an age which sounded terribly old not 10 years ago but doesn’t feel anything even remotely like middle age let alone old now. Bully for me.

Personally, there's no point in denying my true age, since every 5 years the creators and fans of my favorite movie ever insist on reminding me exactly how old I am... Although... Considering that 5th year celebrations of Star Trek AND Star Wars tend to go on for at least three, am I justified in pretending to be 30 until May?

I know my parents continue to think I'm old enough to "know better"...

I do like your thinking much better, though... Even if the Kender in me won't let be as cynical as I probably could be...

I will never say I am younger than I am because then I just look like I have had a rough life. I am inclined to give an age older than I am- that way I look fabulous!!!

Yeah, I will never do the "I turning 29...again" or other false numbers thing either. But I've found that in certain social situations giving any number makes folks uncomfortable so "no longer too young to be this cynical."
