TDK, moving forward

Aside from all discussion on which classic bad guys will turn up next, I'd like your opinion on introducing a Robin.

If you love the bat family as much I do then there is no question in the matter. Bats needs his Robin. At the very least.

very, very minor spoilers for TDK )

I heard that Christian Bale will leave the franchise if they try to introduce Robin

What a dick. Someone needs to force him to read several comics where the bat family interact to make him see the beauty of true disfunction for the greater good.

Yeah, Christian doesn't want a Robin, and neither does Nolan. But I don't really care what Nolan wants.

They can screw up whatever they want, but like it or not, Bruce Wayne takes in a ward and turns him into a crime fighter. In green pixie boots and a yellow cape.

Not that Nolan is a fan of canon at all, but Dick really should be Robin. But I wouldn't protest Jason. And I heart Timmy.

Isn't Jason a circus boy, too? Before he's a street urchin, I mean? It'd be interesting, at least, if they went with Jason.

Don't forget his green daisy dukes. Because a boy running around in green boyshort panties isn't silly in the least.

Jason would be so interesting and finally have people know that, yes, there was a second Robin, calling Tim "Robin III" isn't a typo.

Such a tragic boy. Even if I am totally a Tim-girl.

The problem with Batman Forever is that Dick is SO CLEARLY not an eight year old when he meets Bruce! I saw it on tv a few weeks ago and good god. What were they thinking. Oh yeah: Hottie!

No, you weirdzos, that's not gonna work.

The Robin origin story in Batman Forever is pretty ridiculous, but I did like looking at Chris O'Donnell.

And to your comment above, Nolan doesn't want any female villains?

This is what I've been told, on several occasions from different people, although I don't have a source. I've heard of him specifically pooing on Harley and Catwoman, but other reports are like NONE AT ALL. This doesn't make me happy. I hope it's just catty fangirls bitching because Selina sexes Bruce up and that messes with their OTPs, but not all the people I've heard this from are like that.

Um. Because Selina Kyle isn't important to the Batman mythos at all. Nope. She's certainly nowhere near as important as RACHEL DAWES.

Fuck.

Man, I hope it's just rumors. We could use some strong chicks in these movies.
