I feel like I should either rant or cheer about the health care bill, but really I feel...not neutral, because I've sure got opinions. Just neither angry nor exuberant. The ridiculous claims floating around from people who obviously have no idea what the bill entails are driving me a little mad, but the bill itself is basically a barrel of pork. ( Read more... )

I'm more concerned with foreign affairs and human rights abuses and the environment.

But surely the inability of 30 million people to receive health care is a human rights issue.

Most certainly. (Although you should specify 30 million Americans; certainly outside the country there are far, far more people without access to even the most basic health care.) But I said human rights abuses, not human rights issues. I'm not saying health care isn't significant, only that the bulk of my thoughts and energy tends to go to other things.
