Altaїr was just there suddenly, standing in the doorway to the kitchen with his arms crossed. It was impossible to tell when exactly he got there while Ivy went about her business in there but there he was. He didn't say anything, just simply waited for her to notice him. She was too relaxed to take notice of him at first. She tilted her head then tilted it again in confusion. "You're here? Why?"

Altaїr seemed content to glare daggers at her instead of answer the question at first. Then, after a long silent moment, he replied in a dangerously low tone. "...Where have you been?"

"I was out of town." She's confused about why he's so angry sounding. Then it dawns on her she completely forgot to find some way of letting him know where she would be.

"Every year shortly after I finish my classes for the summer I head out of town for two weeks to a piece of property my uncle owns so I can rest. I..I'm sorry. I just forgot to tell you since I hadn't been sleeping at all until my exams were over." Well maybe she had slept a little but not enough for it to be healthy, she'd been fairly stressed and withdrawn before the tests.
