The Dude, Little Grey One and Little Miss Thang extend their greatest sympathies on your loss.

If, you know, they actually COULD...

I'd like to say that Miss would have been comforted by their thoughts, but she was a grumpy old beast who wanted nothing to do with any other pets... except for my old roomies' cat Redford, when she was a kitten, Chalotte wanted nothing more than to terrorize the old man-cat!

She taught me that the secret to a long, healthy life is to be pissed-off at everything!

Awwwwww... I'm sorry to hear this Geoff. Losing pets is never easy.

But 20 years? That's impressive for a kitty cat.

Aw, I'm sorry. :( 20 years is a pretty long life for a kitty, though.

Thanks all...

Yeah, 20 years in human terms would be... 102! I'm glad she went fast though, rather than having one of those long, slow declines...

Having finished my week of post-business travel detox, I'm toasting her memory right now...

Sympathies. After 20 years, she was more than 'just a cat' as some people think of them. By the time you've spent 2 decades with a critter - human or otherwise, they're family.

Knowing she lived a good, long life and went quickly is a very good thing but, still, allow yourself to mourn. You've lost someone important.

(hugs), virtual tea, and sympathy

Strangely enough, I found myself all 'mourned out' during her rapid decline... when I found her in the morning, showing every sign of having passed away quite peacefully, I felt little but happiness that I'd been able to enjoy 2 decades with the critter... a melancholy happiness, but happiness none the less...
