Icons: 2046

Wong Kar-Wai entwined messed-up memories, lost love and the main character's fantasy world into a touching movie in such a brilliant way that it turned me into a fan of his right away. I've already purchased another WKW movie, Happy Together, and if it's even half as good as 2046 is it will make appearance here in my journal in the form of icons^^

I highly recommend Happy Together and Days of being wild. Most of Wang's fans think 2046 isn't as good as his early movies.. but it's Wang so it's better than most of other movies.. :) Leslie Cheung who was a good friend of Tony and the star of Happy together is love of my life. I really want you to enjoy the movie and make lots of beautiful icon.. :)

I watched Happy Together two days ago, and.. wow! I was forced to watch it without my native subs, and the fact I understood it anyway made me love the film even more. The way Wong tells the story through moments and the tiniest of gestures.. I was blown away. It was gorgeus! :D I esp enjoyed the scene where Po Wing wanted to sleep with Fai, and he just kept insisting and insisting though Fai -quite cruelly- pushed him continuously aside. It was such a cute scene, but I think it somehow summed up the entire first part of the movie~<3

So, YESH, icons on the way! ^__^

2046 is my favorite movie so I'm so happy to see more people are discovering it. You're icons are beautiful. I snagged a few including the text ones in the beginning that work well. I like the one of Bai Ling with the words "Easy X" it's harsh but true.

It was quite an accident that I stumbled across the movie, and I was immediatelly mesmerized my the beautiful pictures on the cover. I had read some reviews of the "prequel" of it, In the Mood For Love, and finally the curiosity took over and I bought it. Now I've also watched Happy Together and just mentioning the director's name makes me glow gleefully -the man's crammed with brilliance^^

Aw, arigatou, dear^^ Iconing a gorgeus movie (like this one right here) is never a waste of time. Now my fingers are itching to get a hold on Happy Together caps.. if I thought 2046 is perfection, then, Happy Together is straight from Heaven -it's been forever since the last time I sat on the couch, staring at the closing credits, mouth forming an amazed 'o'. Every second of that film is worth devouring~<3
