When Sokka came up with the brilliant plan that the group should alter their appearances in order to remain more inconspicuous in case Azula sent spies searching for them, Toph was happy to comply. She simply removed her hairband and let her hair hang loose. Easy enough. She just wondered why the others made wide circles around her now ( Read more... )

Jun has watched this astonishing head of hair with great bemusement. Jun has an excuse for the five inches of black roots on her long blue-dyed hair. She is pregnant. Not very pregnant, but enough. Consequently, she has been avoiding permanent dyes in the interest of not hurting the baby. Her fashionista heart struggles beneath this burden. Because usually, Jun's hair is very doneShe has compensated by affecting a piratical look. There are no eye-patches or cutlasses on her person, but she has wrapped the top of her head in a gay scarf and coaxed the hair that does show into artfully-artless waves. Toph stops and the somewhat frightening wad of hair turns in her direction. Is that a face underneath the wild bangs? "Helped with what? I don't need help."

The last thing on her mind is her hair. She just thinks this woman is doing what she's come to expect now: asking if she can help the little blind girl around.

Jun steps back when that wad hair shifts in her direction.

"With..." With that thing on your head. "With anything?"
Jun pays so much attention to her appearance, she might be hurt to the heart if she knew that Toph couldn't see her. Or maybe not considering the door-knocker earrings.

"Take me for instance," Jun says. "Sometimes, I go into the nexus so I can see what's fashionable. I like to see what people are wearing or wish they were wearing."

Yes, Jun is babbling.

She pauses. The tangled mass of hair looms menacingly.

"Wait. Are you saying that you're looking at me to see what's fashionable?" Her mouth gapes open for a moment. "Or are you saying that's what I should do? You know I'm blind, right? I don't really care about fashion."

That much is obvious given how she currently looks like a crime against all that is good and holy in the fashion world.
