Sign-up is now over! Thank you to all the writers who signed up, both returning and new. By our count, we have 42 sign-ups (which means that if everyone wrote the maximum number of five fics, that would equal 210 submissions...hey, a mod can dream, right?).

Unfortunately, I don't know of any good references on the Heian Era online. (And, well, to face it: I have serious doubts about the Heian as depicted in Hikaru no go, so I don't nitpick too too much. One of these days I'll try to put my finger on things.) But I'm willing to answer short questions on the period, if asked. And I'll keep looking for an internet resource that's half-decent. (Herail's book is good, but you need to read French.)
