Im gonna say, this game was INFINITELY more exciting than the Caps have been in a while. Your team has come together so nicely that when you can score goals on your nemesis when under during their power plays, you know you guys are good. Yeah, the officiating was horrendous (I didn't know you were playing the ice version of the Italian national fitba team with all the falls) but the fact you guys played much of the 3rd widening your lead while down was gorgeous.
Bugger the commish for his schedu-FAIL... glad you proved him stupid, sad you are missing it!
And best wishes to your goalie... that Clipper should have gotten more than 4 for that stunt.
Thanks, Don! It really was one of the better games we have played all year. We've really managed to get some good chemistry this season and I'm very hopeful we'll be able to reassemble this group come next winter.
The commish is near the top of my shitlist -- it sucks that I have to miss it, but it makes me even angrier that some of the family members of the folks on my team who'd been hoping to come out and watch the game will likely be unable to do so since the thing has been slotted for the latest ice time on a Sunday night. Really annoying!
Rob's sore but we're really hoping he'll be better in time for the game. I think the guy should've been tossed for that play -- I don't think he intended to injure Rob, but he didn't seem to make any effort to avoid running into him, either. I'm sure a close eye will be kept on that player on Sunday night.
