Give it a second chance it's a great book, it's just a little "heavy" in the beginning but then it gets better. Trust me you gonna love Rochester.

He has a Mr. Darcy feel to him, and I love Darcy. I think Rochester will be the one to help me get through it.

I've always liked this book. It's been a long time since I read it but I think it's... supposed to drag a bit. She's a fantastic character, imo.

Jane hasn't annoyed me (yet - IDK if she's going to do something that'll make me roll my eyes), but she has to be fantastic to deal with that annoying aunt.

I've gotten to around there, I feel it's finally getting somewhere- but my problem remains: I find it plodding along at the beginning of each chapter, and at the end it goes by quickly. lol

I agree about it finally getting somewhere. I felt in the beginning, there was no real plot. Now that she met Rochester, it has the potential to get good.

I don't really feel like anything drags, but what doesn't drag is still... not interesting.

I usually give it leeway, but never as much as I did here, and it's only because I'm desperate for reading material.

Yea, I want to read classics. I don't know many new books that are worth reading.
