While Isabel did her own packing upstairs, Wyatt was finishing packing in his own room. He'd already orbed a lot of stuff home, leaving the important stuff to be taken along on the road trip. He was stalling, just a bit, distracting himself by checking his email and looking up places online they might visit on their trip.

Savannah knocked lightly on the door.

"Come in," Wyatt called.

Savannah opened the door. "Hey."

"Hey, brat," Wyatt said. "How are you doing?"

"Hi, Pain," she said softly. "I don't like this goodbye thing."

"Yeah, it sucks," Wyatt said, frowning.

She nodded, leaning against the wall. "I don't know if that's a string enough word for it."

"You can always get Chris to orb you out to California to visit," Wyatt said. "And I'll be back for homecoming, I'm sure."

She managed not to wince at the thought of Homecoming. "I'll definitely ask Chris... and you had better come back to visit."

"When I can," Wyatt said. "Or we can meet just off the island, wherever the hell it is that day."

"That's probably an even better plan."

[blessed_twice]

"Keep Chris on his toes," Wyatt said with a wink. "Make sure he doesn't think being a Whitelighter is some sort of cushy job."

She managed to smile at that. "Cushy job... with me as the witch he's in charge of?"

"Exactly," Wyatt grinned. "Never let him doubt you're more than a handful."

She smiled again. "Hey, I'm a Levine. Being more than a handful is what we're best at."

"Excellent," Wyatt said. "That must be why you ended up his charge and not mine."
