It's been so long since I last read such a good Ulquihime story that is set in Las Noches.

I love how you used that scene from Unmasked and put your own spin on it. Orihime wanting to be friends with Ulquiorra because she was so isolated in Las Noches made perfect sense and was really heartbreaking. Her treasuring that he would at least not enjoy killing her shows her desperate need for any sort of connection and friendship very well.

Also, wonderful characterization for Ulquiorra. You nailed his style of speaking and general personality.

I think the thing that struck me the most about "Unmasked," was the look on Orihime's face when Ulqui tells her not to call him -kun. She looks sad and disappointed. I also noticed that she was picking up her own dishes... So many things can be read by that short scene between them.

I really like this! Orihime's emotions are so clear, so human and real, while underneath Ulquiorra's coldness, his humanity is right there too.
