Because one night somebody thought that BLEACH needs a darkfic community just as badly as every other fandom does.
What's with the extra "K"?
The extra K is for dramatic effect......
...no not really. But if anyone asks: DRAMATIC EFFECT.
What is a dark fic/what is considered a dark fic?
The question continues.
"Darkfic is fan fiction that deals with intentionally disturbing material, such as physical and emotional violence. The main characters may be the victims of the violence, the perpetrators, or both. The mood and atmosphere are characterized by a shift away from optimism, toward despair or hopelessness, or even a sort of gleeful exploration of the disturbing.
Darkfic may be characterized as canon-corrective in the sense that the popular media usually dealt with by fan fiction cannot usually explore images of intense violence (at least with a "happy ending") and broody introspection."

Can a DARKFIC contain humor?
Oh hell yes. Humor if approached cleverly, can be quite successful in dark fiction. We've all heard of Black comedy (aka dark comedy, black humor, dark humor or morbid humor), where humor can be derived from horrific, repulsive or shocking situations.
Take for a example a scene from the play "Waiting for Godot" where a man takes off his belt to hang himself, and his trousers fall down.
Or check out "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac" comics by the cartoonist: Jhonen Vasquez; tales about a boy who enjoys disembowelment, torture and cherry fizzwizz.
