Revolution is for the future and people get stuck in the proximity of the present or the saftey of the past, or maybe they just get burned out because it takes so much effort to CARE while surrounded by all these apathetic cloud people. People are morons. There's nothing you can do to change them. However, you do not have to obey their rules. Manners, dress, behaviour, speech, what you eat, who you sleep with, etc...

I can't change everyone, we can't change everyone, but I can make myself into something that they can't control.
