Voice of Africa concert last night was spectacular. Singing, drumming, and dancing. They even had us sing and brought people on stage to dance. Fun stuff. If you like cultural/traditional music, I suggest giving them a try. They were selling cds after the concert of course.....but I didn't have any money on me. (Wanted to buy one...) Aw, man, sounds amazing! Glad you got to experience it. Sounds like me whenever I'd attend something and not bring money...

How did the call go?

It was! You shoulda been there!
Yeah. I even thought before I left for it--"I bet they'll be selling cds. Maybe I should bring some money...." But then I went to the bathroom and promptly forgot by the time I was back in my room to grab my coat. (Though, at the last concert I was at, last semester, I had brought money, anticipating they'd sell cds....and I didn't have enough. o.O)

Call? What call? <---basically what it amounts to. I *tried* calling using the phone in the dorms. Dial 9 to get out of the system. Dial the phone card #. Dial the phone number. And the silence. phone card company comes back on and asks me to enter a phone number. Try again. Silence. Phone card company again, asking for a number. Enter number. Silence. Hang up in frustration when phone card company comes back. Double check the number. Try again a few more times with the same results. Give up and go to class. Agh ( ... )

Wow, overpriced music. *shakes head* That's usually why I don't bring money...in case it IS overpriced and I buy it anyway.

Hmm, very strange. I hope you have better luck next time. I can't fathom how that would've happened--especially with her knowing you had called. Let me know how round two goes!

Well, yeah, those ones were going for $15. The ones from Tuesday were going for $5. (hahaha....I never told you what I paid for Celtic Embrace, did I? It was overpriced. and then factor in the exchange rate...)

Yup. And it turns out she and whoever else does it with her are hoping to have their "hiring recommendations" list in by Monday. She emailed me today at 11:30 and said I should call first thing in the morning. (I really hope I make that list! ...hopefully, she won't ask me to quick come in for an interview after talking to me over the phone...no taxis go away from RF far enough....)
