Everyone who's ever driven with me knows this: I drive fast. Some people, my mother in particular, are terrified of this. I've had a radar detector for 3+ years. ;) But yeah, I understand what you're saying. Allowing just anyone to drive just any speed, with no minimum or limit, is dangerous because it relies on the judgment of others. That's always a scary prospect.
