So what are your final thoughts about compulsory military service?

I think a lot of people would benefit from one form of national service or another. Not necessarily strictly military, but a year of doing something useful for society. And it being mandatory, sort of like saying "thanks for letting me stay in a relatively safe country". Age group naturally after high school; when most people have no idea what they wanted to do, and have not really grown up yet either. I hate saying this, but I also believe women should have a compulsory service for this reason ( ... )
