... apparently I can hold my beer.
But I cannot hold my liquor.
It is also apparently Wednesday. And I am holding a gun and covered in... something red.
... what in the world was I doing last night?

"How are you feeling, then? We can get you something to eat before we figure out if you have lodgings or if we should acquire you some."
Reply
"I do have a headache, but I will be fine with a drink of water. I've been staying with Drake for the time being."
Reply
"All right. If you are certain about the food then water is fine. I know that Drake is somewhere in this hotel; do you remember the room number?"
[She turns in the direction of the nearest restaurant, glancing over her shoulder to make sure he's following.]
"Perhaps next time you go out drinking you should take someone with you."
Reply
[Sky closes one eye, reaching up to rub at the back of his neck, and automatically follows like a good boy, knowing she won't take no for an answer.]
"Perhaps I should. Are you the drinking sort, Miss Clé?"
Reply
[The restaurant in question is more or less empty, save a few mannequin-people and Clé finds them a table before answering Sky's question.]
"It would appear so. Absinthe seems to be preferred though I do not mind certain beers either."
[She smiles again from across the table.]
"Do you recall what you were drinking? If you enjoyed it at least that was something."
Reply
"I have tried a few beers, but I liked the hefeweizens. I'm not much of a astute drinker, it seems... I don't know many types."
Reply
[Not that it had stopped either of them from drinking. Clé looks off for a moment and wonders just how old they are, really. 22 sounds a little too high, which is strange...all things considered. She's broken from her thoughts by a moving mannequin that takes her order of food and she makes sure to get enough for both of them - and water.]
"Hefeweizens are good, however. I wonder, though - I get the impression it is not a common name for a beer or that it is native to one particular region."
Reply
[However old Sky is, his language, the way he holds himself, seems older than he possibly could be physically. Sky smiles to himself but does not comment on Clé's getting food for him.]
"Really? It seemed a natural name to me." [A pause.] "I suppose we have found my region. If only we knew what it was, yes?"

[Clé wonders at the sort of life Sky led before now - something that would make him move and talk so carefully, that smile used in every single situation. It isn't court, somehow she's certain of that and at the same time...worried.
She opens her mouth to say something but is interrupted by the arrival of food and Clé stares at it for a moment turning and idea over in her head. The walls of the bar from the other night were painted over with letters she could read. Prongs' use of Latin...
She decides to conduct an experiment.]
"Stop me when one of these sounds familiar. небо. Ciel. Cer. Himmel. Dangus."
Reply
"Himmel."
[It is very precise, and he smiles.]
"Of course that sounds familiar. 'Himmel' is the name I have chosen."
Reply
"Of course, how silly of me."
[Clé closes her eyes for a moment, trying to pinpoint where himmel comes from. Not home. Someplace close to home...
Sighing, she shakes her head and opens her eyes again.]
"So we grew up in regions not that far from one another. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name."
Reply
"Well, then. Perhaps it will come to us with time. It also means that for some reason, everything is regulated to the same language... I had not known that. Perhaps that counts for why some words are unfamiliar to me."
Reply
"It will be interesting to see which of us recalls something first. I had a memory regarding France, though I am fairly certain I was not, originally, from France."
[She indicated the food with her hand.]
"Are you certain you aren't hungry, then?"
Reply
"I'm coming to find that it's best not to press the mind. It's something like a spider's web, strong, but press hard enough and it will damage it."
[Sky smiles, tilting his head to one side, and he reaches out to take a bit of fresh-baked bread with butter and herbs.]
"My head does feel smaller now."
Reply
"Quite a few people, it would seem, are worried at the prospect of losing ones...life, I suppose is the best word for it, in exchange for knowledge. For me it is not as difficult a choice - I died once already, yet here I am."
[She gives a little laugh.]
"Perhaps next time you go drinking you would not mind the company?"
